Football School Overview

Start playing with Epping TOWN FC

Our Saturday Football School is our football development centre for children from 5 to 11, whether they new to the game or are part of an existing team.

Football School sessions take place on the all-weather pitch at Epping St John's School, are delivered by our our qualified coaches and are overseen by our Head of Football, Richard Chick. Our aim is to provide consistently high-quality sessions focused on football skills development while fostering a fun and rewarding player experience.

Football School acts as a springboard to launch new teams, especially into our u7 and u8 age-groups, along with being a football outlet for young players in community who are not part of a team but would like to experience a structured training environment.

Playing in a team at Epping TOWN FC

For those looking to play league football, Epping Town fields teams in the

Echo, BCFA and Essex Girls leagues.

All football below U12 is "non competitive". This does not mean that we do not play to win, it simply means that winning at any cost is not the primary objective. At Epping, football has to be fun, played in the right spirit and played as a team.

Grassroots youth football starts at U7 - no player can play in a league until they are 6.

U7 & U8 play 5v5 - home games are at Epping St John's School

U9 & U10 play 7v7 - home games are at Stonards Hill Recreation Ground and Epping St John's School

U11 & U12 play 9v9 - home games are at Epping St John's School and Frampton Road, Epping

U13 & u14 play 11v11 - home games are at Epping St John's School

U15 & U16 and our adult teams  play 11v11 - home games are at Stonards Recreation Ground

All players are affiliated to the FA via their league registration

All parents sign up to agree to the FA Respect policy when registering their children to play with us.
We strive to provide a safe, positive environment in which children can play their game. We have a zero tolerance policy towards spectators who abuse players or match officials.

All teams at Epping Town FC are managed by FA-qualified coaches who hold a current DBS certificate. We provide children in our local community and beyond with not only a safe and friendly environment, but quality football tuition for all. Our passion for football is the core ingredient of our Club's continued success.

Epping Town FC are affiliated with the Essex County FA and have achieved the FA Charter Standard - an award for best practice in coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League.
