Our Academy is our football development centre for children from the ages
of 5 to 13 both new to the game or a member of an existing team .

The Academy takes place on the all-weather pitch at Epping St John's School

and is run by our Head of Football in conjunction with outside professional
coaches from M.R.F.A. who both coach the players and help develop our
coaches. Our aim is to provide first class training, spread good practice
around the club and create a fun and rewarding experience for the players.

The Academy acts as a springboard to launch new teams along with
integrating older players into our existing teams to play Sunday grassroots
league football - see below or our Teams page.

If you have any further questions, our Head of Football will be happy to help

Playing in a team at Epping Youth

For those looking to play league football, Epping Youth fields teams in the

Essex Girls, Echo and Chelmsford Leagues.

All football below U12 is "non competitive". This does not mean that we do not play to win, it simply means that winning at any cost is not the primary objective. At Epping, football has to be fun, played in the right spirit and played as a team.

Grassroots youth football starts at u7 - no player can play in a league until they
reach their 6th birthday

u7 and u8 play 5 v 5 - our pitches are at Epping St Johns School

u9 and u10 play 7 v 7 - our pitches are at Stonards Recreation Ground Epping

u11 and u12 play 9 v 9 - our pitches are at Epping Green, Frampton Road and Memorial Playing Fields North Weald

u13 play 11 v 11 - our pitch is at Memorial Playing Fields North Weald

u14 - u18 play 11 v 11 - our pitches are at Stonards Recreation Ground Epping

All players are affiliated to the FA via their League registration

All parents sign up to agree to the FA Respect policy as part of our Player Registration forms.
Respect aims to help ensure a safe, positive environment in which children can play their game.

Epping has a zero tolerance policy to spectators who abuse players or match officials.

All teams at Epping Youth Football Club are managed by FA-qualified coaches who hold a current DBS certificate. We provide children in our local community and beyond with not only a safe and friendly environment, but quality football tuition for all. Our love of football and passion for coaching is the core ingredient of our Club's continued success.

Epping Youth Football Club are affiliated with the Essex County FA and have achieved the FA Charter Standard - an award for best practice in coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League.
